  • Site specific work commissioned by University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU) for Guild Fringe as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival 2024.

The blurs between reality and virtual world are explored through a perspective of the colour ‘magenta’, which does not actually exist. Its a colour the human body is incapable of perceiving in its true self. In an attempt to transmit and convince the true colour of magenta, who knows if this performance is real. It might be a ‘glitch’ that you subconsciously modify your own senses.

    Performed by Rena Sangawa.

  • Night Visions is a satirical analysis of contemporary dance and its industry. What are we really doing and why are we always on the floor? Taking inspiration from dreams, real life experiences and each other, Opal Russell and Amélie Logan explore the question of why, and does it actually matter? Funky unison, improvisation, and love island will disappear and reappear in no sensible order, just like your dream last night. Night Visions is both a celebration and criticism of dance that will tickle your senses and at times make you a little uncomfortable.
